The year 2020 will always be remembered for Covid 19 (Coronavirus). It has been a difficult year for construction and businesses in general. Like most other companies in Ireland, Covid 19 has impacted somewhat on our business here in Western Postform. While we did meet with many challenges throughout the year, it also brought exciting changes for us.
In May this year we moved into our new state of the art manufacturing facility in Ballinasloe. We invested heavily on new machinery to give greater automation and productivity to the factory. We have also invested in a new Biomass boiler system which will burn all our waste material and generate heat for the new facility.
New level production capabilities
The role out of our new drawing package IMOS together with the CNC machines have taken our production line to a whole new level with all projects going from screen to machine. In addition to this we have transformed how our business operates, by investing in an ERP Software System called Cienapps, this reduces significantly the time spent on manual processes and will play a large role in the day-to-day operations of the company in 2021.
2020 also brought the launch of our new Website www.westernpostform.ie
We are delighted to have become members this year, of the “I Am Here” a programme which promotes mental health and well-being among our staff and in turn their family members.
40 years in business
2020 also marks Western Postforms 40th year in business. Our company started back in 1980 by Michael O Grady & Seamus Shinners with 5 people.
Since then, we have grown from strength to strength and now have a workforce of over 55 direct employees plus a strong subcontractor team. With our high technology machinery and sophisticated systems together with our loyal and dedicated staff, our company is now one of Ireland’s leading bespoke furniture and cubicle manufactures.
We would also like to thank all of our many clients throughout the years for trusting in us to carry out many of their projects
We look forward to the future with great enthusiasm and welcome all projects that come our way.
